Happy Hound Dog Resorts wishes you a very happy 2015! We had a great year in 2014 and we learned a lot about ourselves, the staff and your dogs. Based on your responses to us, what we read about in the industry and our books we have read about the pet industry, we have big additions coming for your pets and these are some of our updates Jacksonville FL Dog Daycare will see at Happy Hound Dog Resorts. Some of those great changes include:
Updates Jacksonville FL Dog Daycare
Coffee: One of the biggest requests was an eye opener in the morning. This is great for those folks who have long days ahead of them. So while there are lines for the Dunkin Donuts or Starbuck’s drive-thru, we want to have a hot cup of coffee for you. We are working to have this available soon. We may or may not have food associated with the coffee.
If we do have food, it will be packaged and be simple. We do not want to stray too far away from our ultimate job…….taking care of your fur kid. We cannot find a good cup of coffee in our complex, so this is a welcome update to our Jacksonville FL dog daycare as we need coffee sometimes after a long day.
Sleep
Sleeping dogs in our care
I hear it from my father all the time that sleep is over-rated. He’s probably never worked a double shift with other dogs who missed their nap time. Dogs are like kids, they need a nap, preferably around mid-day. So we are working to give all the boarding dogs a nap from 12 to 1 PM, as a way to help them recharge their batteries and get ready for the afternoon sessions. This does 3 important things:
- Makes the dogs easier to manage in the afternoon
- Decreases issues between “cranky” dogs
- Allows our staff to get to more tasks and cleaning during their shifts.
So far so good, we have seen a decrease in stress related engagements between dogs and our staff has been able to get their work done sooner, and are much more efficient. A much more calm dog in the afternoon is one of our updates Jacksonville FL Dog Daycare.

We are working to add a video camera to the small dog area. In fact, we have this camera operational now, and will have to add the new one to the main area. Here is a snapshot of the small dog area, for all those who wanted another camera. We are working to add both cameras to a digital video recorder that will allow our customers to login to one location with access to both cameras (for now). Lots of things are going on at Happy Hound Dog Resorts. We will have more posts for updates to our Jacksonville dog day care in posts to follow.
