For the longest time, we had many people asking us what is dog daycare, why would my dog need dog daycare? Dog Daycare is for all dogs! Much like a child needs a playground for exercise of their body, lungs and mind. So too does a dog need exercise in a dog daycare. Dogs are more social than people think. When a dog enters a dog daycare floor, it is important for the dog facility to make sure that the dog is not intimidated by others, much like when a child is placed in child daycare.
Dogs need to socialize with other dogs in an open space. They cannot do this confined in your house. When they are confined, they get frustrated, when they get frustrated they start to look for something to direct their frustration. This may be your new sofa or your new pair of shoes. No matter, when your dog is frustrated that they cannot get out and play or work off their energy, they will take it out on something in your house or something you care for of value.
Dog Daycare is for all dogs
Imagine yourself in your dog’s position. Locked in a box or maybe a crate all day. Or locked in a house with doors and windows, but no way out. Dogs are social creatures, they need their time with other dogs and people. Dogs could sleep all day, but they were not bred for sleeping all day. Other more socialized dogs are getting interaction and more engagement. While your dog is left to figure out how to be social. So when your dog charges another dog you blame the dog. In fact, the owner is to blame.
Dog Daycare Jacksonville FL works to get your dog to behave around other dogs. At Happy Hound Dog Resorts, we have staff that work with making sure your dog learns basic commands. If he/she knows the basic, “Sit, Stay, Come, Off, Wait”, they understand commands in the presence of other dogs. We work on these with your dog. We can expand the working when we have them in additional training. Dogs are always learning. We work at Happy Hound Dog Resorts on the socialization aspect daily. Dog Daycare is for all dogs and without breed restrictions, what is your excuse?
